AI Game Day Summaries
Generate AI-powered pre-game and post-game narratives from your leaderboard data.
ReadiGolf uses Google Gemini AI to generate written summaries of your golf outings. Whether play hasn’t started yet (pre-game narrative) or the round is in progress or complete (game day summary), the AI analyzes the leaderboard data and writes a report you can share with your group.
Three Summary Styles
From the Leader Board view of any Play Date, you’ll find three AI summary buttons:
- AI Game Day — Harsh (red button) — Heavy sarcasm, biting humor, and terse language. Perfect for groups that love trash talk.
- AI Game Day — Friendly (green button) — Kind, encouraging reporting with light humor. Great for sending to the whole group.
- AI Game Day — Facts Only (blue button) — No editorial commentary, just the numbers. A clean statistical recap.
How It Works
- Open your Play Date and switch to the Leader Board tab
- Scroll down past the leaderboard to find the three summary buttons
- Tap one of the three styles
- A loading spinner appears while the AI generates the summary (usually 10–30 seconds)
- The summary appears in a modal sheet with formatted HTML — tables, headers, and commentary
- Tap Copy Summary to copy the formatted text to your clipboard for pasting into email, Messages, or group chats
Pre-Game vs. Post-Game
The AI automatically detects whether play has started by checking if any holes have been scored:
- Before play starts (0 holes scored) — Generates a pre-game narrative with player previews, historical averages, and scoring predictions
- During or after play (1+ holes scored) — Generates a game day summary with leaderboard analysis, standout performances, and final results
The AI uses each player’s scoring averages and historical deviations to provide data-driven commentary, not just generic text. The more rounds your group has played, the more insightful the summaries become.
Tip: Try the “Harsh” style for your group chat and the “Friendly” style for a more polished email recap. You can generate all three and pick your favorite.
