Skins Betting

Win the hole outright, win the skin. Ties carry over to the next hole.

Skins is a hole-by-hole competition where the lowest score on each hole wins a “skin.” If two or more players tie for the best score, the skin carries over to the next hole — making the pot grow until someone wins outright.

Setting Up a Skins Challenge

From your Play Date, go to Challenges and select Skins. Configure the following:

  • Players — Tap “Opt All Players In” for the whole field, or select players individually
  • Format — Entire Field (everyone competes) or Teams (2v2, 3v3, etc.)
  • Scoring — Net or Gross. If Net, choose how handicap strokes are applied
  • Holes — Front 9, Back 9, or Full 18
  • Skin Value — The point or dollar value of each skin
  • Carryovers — When players tie, does the skin carry to the next hole? (Yes is the classic rule)

If playing in teams, use the team balancing options (by handicap, scoring average, Stableford average, or AI Equalizer) to create fair matchups.

Reading Skins Results

The results view shows:

  • Handicap table (for net play) showing each player’s stroke allocation
  • Hole-by-hole breakdown with each player’s score and the skin winner highlighted
  • Carryovers clearly marked when holes are tied
  • Running skins tally — total skins won per player or team
  • Final settlement — total payout based on skins won multiplied by the skin value

Example: A 4-player skins game at $5/skin. Holes 1–3 are tied (3 carryovers). Player A wins hole 4 outright — they collect 4 skins ($20). The drama builds when carryovers pile up!
