Running a golf group takes more than good golf. Here are tips to keep your ReadiGolf group organized, engaged, and running smoothly.
Before the Season
- Build your roster early – Add players, sponsored players, and course handicaps so everything is ready when play starts
- Add all courses – Import or create courses you’ll play so tee times and scorecards auto-fill
- Set default games – Configure your Play Group’s default betting (Nassau, Skins, etc.) so you don’t reconfigure every time
Creating Play Dates
- Create the play date a week or more in advance so players can opt in/out
- Use the opt-in/out emails to track who’s in—send reminders to undecided players
- Set tee times and pairings early; ReadiGolf can notify players automatically
- Enable junk/Dots or other side games if your group plays them
During the Round
- Designate someone to enter scores (or have each foursome manage their own)
- Enter scores hole-by-hole when possible so the leaderboard stays current
- Use the Junk sheet for side bets to avoid post-round math
After the Round
- Verify scores before locking—fix any entry errors quickly
- Run the Money Winners report to settle bets; copy and share if needed
- Enable AI summaries for a fun recap email that goes to the group
Communications
Use ReadiGolf’s built-in emails for “who’s in,” “tee times,” and “payouts.” They’re pre-written and save you time. For custom messaging, you can still use your regular group chat—ReadiGolf complements it.
Handling Disputes
Keep the tone light. If a score or bet is contested, check the round history and hole-by-hole data in Reports. The Group Scoring and Money Winners reports give you the data to resolve most questions quickly.
